About the Genos Emotional Intelligence Certification Philippines in Cebu
The Genos Emotional Intelligence (EI) Certification Program is specially designed to make you the expert in applying Emotional Intelligence in the workplace.
You will leave the certification program able to:
- design and sell emotional-intelligence solutions,
- develop individuals’ and teams’ emotional intelligence by assessing and debriefing their assessment results,
- provide practical tools and techniques for applying and being more emotionally intelligent in the workplace, and
- design and deliver group emotional intelligence development sessions.
This is an event for those who would like to add a certification in the emotional-intelligence competency—a competency to be needed by all this year and moving forward. This is an event for everyone who espouses change, continuous learning and development, empowerment of oneself, and others.
This year’s certification program will be a face-to-face session.
Meet Your Trainer
Dr. Mariel Kristine T. Rubia is a licensed psychologist with 14 years of clinical experience using different treatment modalities such as solutions-focused therapy, rational emotive behavior therapy, hypnosis and hypnotherapy, and eclectic therapy. For organizational needs, Dr. Rubia calls on her expertise in test development and practical application of psychological principles to develop, validate, and standardize industry tests. In recent years, she has worked for an HMO provider catering mostly to BPO clients, delivering much-needed mental health services to employees. Her leadership, work ethic, reliability, and knowledge have contributed to her team’s successful programs. For private practice, Dr. Rubia serves as a clinical psychologist at the ME Rubia Psychological Assessment Center and is a practicing Forensic Psychologist with a specialization in annulment and violence against women and children cases. Dr. Rubia completed her Master of Arts major in Industrial Psychology (cum laude) and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (magna cum laude) at the University of Santo Tomas. Her research on the “Development of a Crime-Related Shame and Guilt Scale for Prisoners in the Philippine Context” was published in the Journal of Forensic Psychology. She regularly participates in seminar workshops and conferences on testing and scale development abroad, with her latest as an online poster presenter at the International Congress of Psychology Convention in the Czech Republic. As an educator, Dr. Rubia currently teaches at the De La Salle-College of St. Benilde’s Human Resource Management Program, sharing her extensive experience in recruitment, labor relations, and training.
Kier Edison Belleza, MA (Cand.) Kier Edison Belleza embarked on his journalism career in 2017 while still pursuing his college education. He began as a news writer for the Manila Bulletin, the largest national newspaper in the Philippines.
During his tenure, he gained invaluable insights into the media industry and developed a profound understanding of its intricacies. Additionally, he honed his skills in writing using the widely recognized Associated Press style.
Despite the demanding schedules of work and school, Kier graduated cum laude with a degree in communication from Cebu Normal University.
Transitioning from journalism to the publishing industry, Kier started as a correction editor at an outsourcing company in Cebu City, serving publishers in the United States and the United Kingdom.
He then underwent professional training as a copy editor, specializing in the Chicago Manual of Style, a renowned style guide adopted across various disciplines in publishing.
Currently, Kier holds the position of learning and development supervisor at People Dynamics Inc., an end-to-end HR solutions company. In this role, he oversees the training and development of organizations, ensuring their employees possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to deliver exceptional services to clients.
He currently chairs the Programs and Professional Development Committee at the Philippine Society for Talent Development.
Drawing from his experience in journalism, publishing, and learning and development, Kier has successfully trained over 2,000 professionals from government agencies, educational institutions, and private companies.
His commitment to professional growth led him to pursue a master’s degree in communication at his alma mater.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Kier holds various certifications and qualifications that contribute to his expertise.
He is certified in the DISC model of human behavior, enabling him to utilize DISC for training, coaching, and facilitation at all organizational levels.
Furthermore, he is a qualified emotional intelligence practitioner through Genos International, providing valuable insights into professional and personal well-being.
Additionally, Kier is a Google-Certified Educator (Level 1), empowering him to assist educators and students in leveraging technology for enhanced learning experiences.Finally, Kier is certified as a Learning Development Professional by the Global Skill Development Council.
